Obituary for Andrew Kelley Mayle Sr.
Andrew Kelley Mayle, Sr. age 73 formerly of Linsey Street, Grafton, WV passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the River Oaks Nursing Home in Clarksburg, WV.
He was born September 2, 1946 in Barbour County, WV a son of the late Oled Marcus Mayle and Naomi Alberta (Pritchard) Mayle.
He is survived by one son, Andrew Kelley Mayle, Jr.; two sisters, Marlene Collins of Hubbard, OH and Rowena Snyder and husband Billy of Wilmington, DE; two brothers, Donnie Mayle of Livonia, MI and Lincoln Mayle and wife Sis of Warren, MI; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Joyce Mayle, who passed away June 4, 1995 and three brothers, Conley, Gene, and Frank Mayle.
After graduating from high school he served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was awarded two Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star, and several other medals.
He was a laborer for Builder’s Service and Supply in Grafton.
Andrew was a member of the DAV #24 and a lifetime member of the Memorial City Post 3081 of Grafton.
He was a member of the West Hill United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Friday, December 20th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday.
Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Paul Mullen officiating.
Interment will follow at the Mt. View Cemetery in Barbour County.
