Obituary for Alta Mae Moore (Rogers)
Alta Mae (Rogers) Moore, age 92 of Brownlow Avenue, Grafton, WV passed away Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the Rosewood Healthcare Center.
She was born May 21, 1928 in Grafton, WV the daughter of the late Victor C. and Velma C. (Withers) Rogers.
She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Ann Goff of Grafton and Sandra Kay Lucas and husband, Tom also of Grafton; two grandchildren, Beth Morrison of Grafton and J.J. Jones and wife, Jen also of Grafton; one great-grandchild, Jobe Jones.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Noble Moore who passed away in 1996.
Alta Mae graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1946 and worked for the Taylor County Board of Education as a cook for 30 years.
There will be no funeral home visitation or funeral service. There will be a private interment at the Woodsdale Memorial Park Cemetery in Grafton.
