Obituary for Adra Anna Gray
Adra Anna Gray, 78, of Flemington, WV, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at home. She was born in Simpson on January 20, 1945, the only daughter of the late Charles N. Ware and Daisy Opal (Apperson) Ware.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Harold B. Gray on March 1, 2017. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Charles W. “Bud” Ware and Robert F. “Bob” Ware.
Ms. Gray is survived by two children: Kathleen Anne Cooper (Carl Robert) of Harmony Grove, and Jeffrey Alan Gray (Crystal) of Flemington; four grandchildren: Joshua Robert Cooper of Grafton, Evan Brent Gray (fiancé Breanna Alderman) of Flemington, Ryan Alexander Gray of Grafton, and Courtney Rose Gray of Flemington; three great-grandchildren: Brentley Alan, Logan Charles, and Madalyn Grace Gray. Also surviving are several other extended family members and friends.
Adra was a graduate of Flemington High School Class of 1962 and was Baptist by faith. In her youth she enjoyed cheerleading, was very involved with softball, and later enjoyed cooking for the elimination dinners to help. She also liked playing cards and working with ceramics. Adra greatly enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and spending time with them.
Cremation services will be honored and a memorial graveside service will be celebrated on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11am at the Flemington I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
