Donna J. (Newlon) Brown, age 70 of George Washington Hwy., Grafton, WV passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.
She was born February 19, 1945 in Grafton a daughter of the late James A. “Abe” Newlon and Martha J. (Mahaffey) Newlon.

She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Brown, Jr.; two children, Robert E. Brown, III and partner, Dr. Richard J. Helldobler, of Chicago, IL and Ricky L. Brown and wife, Kendra of Grafton, two grandchildren: Landon Isaac Brown and Levi Walker Brown: also surviving are two sisters: Janet A. Sinclair: Joy A Lantz and husband Larry: one brother Tim R. Newlon and wife Vicki all of Grafton.

Donna is preceded in death by two brothers-in-law: Richard (Dick) Whitescarver and Gary L. Brown.

Donna worked for the Taylor County School System as an instructor for Adult Basic Education for 15 years and was former secretary for the Fine Arts Dept. at Fairmont State College.

She was a member of the Grafton/Blueville Church of the Nazarene. She was also a member of Grafton Women’s Club, and Taylor County Retired Teachers Association.
Donna enjoyed her family, reading, photography, technology where she kept up with the latest developments, and helping everyone.

The family will receive friends Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00p.m. , at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 5:00p.m. with Pastor Robert L. Oakley Jr. officiating. At Donna’s request she will then be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to a charity in memory of Donna Jane Newlon Brown.
