Benjamin Harrison “Benny” Moore, III, age 74 of Walnut Street, Grafton, WV (formerly of Lancaster County, PA), passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the Grafton City Hospital.

He was born March 8, 1940 in Lancaster, PA a son of the late Benjamin Harrison Moore, Jr. and Edna (McComsey) Moore.

He is survived by his wife, Carmela J. (Byerly) Moore of Grafton; four children, Benjamin H. Moore, IV (Denise) of Newmanstown, PA, Patrick Moore also of Newmanstown, PA, John (Lisa) Moore of Millersville, PA, and Holly Abbotts (Mark) of Seaford, DE; one step-daughter, Lynn Sigman of Grafton; eleven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one brother, John Moore of Conestoga, PA; three sisters, Helen (Bill) Rineer of New Providence, PA, Marie (Raymond) Keck of Mt. Ville, PA, and Alma Byerly of Townsend, DE; and one brother, John (Deanna) Moore of Conestoga, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one step-son, David W. Myers, Jr.

Benny served in the US Army for six years, serving during the Viet Nam era.
He worked for the General Cigar Company in Lancaster, PA as a warehouse manager for 48 years.

At Benny’s request he will be cremated. There will be no funeral home visitation.
