Georgie P. (Metheny) Thomas, age 83 of Lincoln Street, Grafton, WV passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the Grafton City Hospital.
She was born December 1, 1930 in Kingwood, WV a daughter of the late George H. and Laura Belle (Shears) Metheny.

She is survived by her son, Mark Allen Thomas at home. Georgie was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Allen Thomas, who passed away April 8, 2007; two sisters, Lucille Liston and Virginia Christopher; and one brother, Ray Metheny.

She was a beloved wife, mother, and sister to her family.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Friday, May 23, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at the WV National Cemetery, with Rev. Roni Delligatti officiating.
