Obituary for David Lee ""Butch"" Lough

David Lee “Butch” Lough , age 72 of New Martinsville, WV passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the Wheeling Hospital surrounded by his family.
He was born on March 4, 1942 in Fairmont, WV a son of the late David Luther Lough and Ruth Mildred (Johnson) Lough.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Freda Jeanette (Williams) Lough; one daughter Billie Jo Cosper and husband John of Paden City, WV; two grand-daughters, Logan Shaye and Taylor Lee Cosper both of Paden City, WV; one sister Nancy C. Cox and husband Ben of Grafton, WV; two sister in- laws, Francis Hughes and husband Jim Ed Hughes of Brookeville, MD, and Louise Williams of Parkersburg, WV; several nieces and nephews, and a lifelong brother, Terry M. Gabbert of Grafton, WV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother in-law, Fred Williams.

David graduated from Grafton High School with the class of 1960 before serving his country in the United States Navy for four years. He then became a Welder and Plant Mechanic with the A.E.P. Power Company in Moundsville, WV for 33 years. He was also a member of the New Martinsville Moose Lodge.

There will be no funeral home visitation. The family has requested a Private Military Graveside Service to take place at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown, WV with Deacon Jerold P. Isner.
