Obituary for Timothy Lee Mayle

Timothy Lee Mayle, age 48 of West Main Street, Geneva, OH passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 at his home.

He was born November 19, 1965 in Philippi, WV a son of Gary Lee Mayle of Philippi and Shirley Jean (Mayle) Croston of Grafton.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie S. (Moore) Mayle; four children, Shay, Lindsey, Alexis, and Zach; one brother, Gary L. Mayle and wife, Kelly of East Canton, OH, three sisters, Peggy McPhearson and husband Sam of Williamsport, MD, Teresa Elkins and husband Roger of Martinsburg, WV, Angie Gifft and husband Michael also of Martinsburg, WV, and Melissa Mayle and husband Wayne of Canton, OH; his step father, Junior Paul Croston of Grafton; two nieces, Marah Mayle and Mikalya Gifft; three nephews, Evan Mayle, Isaiah Gifft, and A.J. Mayle; also several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Alma Mayle and his paternal grandparents, Goldie and Agnes Mayle.

Tim graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1984. He was a corporal in the US Army with four years of service. He graduated from Fairmont State University with a BS degree in Criminal Justice, the Cleveland Marshall School of Law, then from Case Western with a degree in tax law.

He worked at the Laborers International Union Local 1015 in Canton, OH for over 12 years and then for Lexis Nexis as an attorney before deciding to stay at home to raise his children.
Tim then took over the head coaching position for the traveling basketball team,“Team Xtreme” of Geneva, OH and has coached the team for over 15 years.
He dearly loved the game and all of the kids he has coached over the years, but his number one priority in life was his own children and spending time with them.


The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Friday, March 14th from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor David E. Maley officiating.
Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the Taylor County Honor Guard and the US Army Honor Guard.
